A stationary surface low over western North Carolina, and a pair of outflow modulated fronts over North Carolina and Virginia, were overspread by perturbed south southwesterly flow around an anomalous mid to upper low over the Ohio Valley. Loosely organized multi clusters resulted, with accompanying marginally severe hail, wind damage, and isolated flooding.
