A stalled stationary boundary within a very moist airmass provided a focusing mechanism for several rounds of heavy rain that resulted in isolated flash flooding in New York City. Rainfall amounts ranged from 1-3 inches across the city, with the majority of that rain falling in just a 1-2 hour time frame. The ASOS in Central Park recorded 2.90 inches of rain.
