Copious amounts of tropical moisture spread northward into the central deserts during the morning hours on October 2nd. The moisture was associated with the remnants of former hurricane Rosa and as it moved in, widespread moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms developed across the deserts to the southwest of central Phoenix.
