Isolated to scattered thunderstorms developed across portions of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area during the day on October 7th. Some of the storms produced hail ranging in size from one quarter inch diameter to one inch in diameter. No damage was reported due to the larger hail. The largest hail fell to the southwest of the town of Surprise and east of the White Tank Mountains.
