Scattered showers and thunderstorms affected the Upper Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee during the late afternoon and evening hours on September 25. A few storms became supercells, with one producing a rotating wall cloud over Cookeville in Putnam County that was caught on video, and another that produced a brief EF-1 tornado in Fentress County. Heavy rainfall associated with these storms also caused flash flooding across Putnam County.
