A warm front approached from the south on Sept 25 and stalled just north of Massachusetts on Sept 26. This brought periods of heavy rain to Massachusetts with 3 to 6 inches observed in Northern Bristol County and Northern Plymouth County in Southeast Massachusetts. Amounts of 1 to 3 inches fell on Northeast, Central and Western Massachusetts.
