Thunderstorms moved across portions of northeast Iowa on October 1st. These storms dropped between 2 and 4 inches of rain most of Clayton County. With already saturated ground from rain in late September, the runoff caused river flooding to occur along the Turkey River at both Elkader and Garber. Flooding along Peck Creek sent water over a road west of Millville and creeks in North Buena Vista also went out of their banks.
