Dec 16, 2018
A low pressure system moved through the central Appalachians on the 15th and 16th. This brought several waves of moderate to heavy rainfall, with total rain amounts in the 1.5 to 2 inch range. The cooperative observer at Marietta measured 1.52 inches of rain from the 14th through the 16th. The ground was already saturated from prior precipitation, so all of this rain was runoff, resulting in minor flooding.
