Low pressure over New York City early in the morning on November 3rd rapidly intensified as it moved northeastward across New England. Heavy rain occurred in the early morning hours, with generally 1.50 to 2.50 inches in eastern sections of southern New England and up to 3.66 inches in the slopes of the Berkshires.
