A strong storm system moved through the central Appalachians on the 19th and 20th. Ahead of this system, rain fell through the day on the 19th. The highest rain amounts fell across the northern mountainous counties, where 1.25 to 1.75 inches fell. This lead to minor flooding along the Tygart Valley River in Randolph County.
