Intensifying low pressure moving up the spine of the Applachians on December 21st and into southern Quebec the morning of the 22nd produced strong southeast winds. These onshore winds in combination with high astronomical tides via the full moon of the 22nd, also produced widespread minor and localized moderate coastal flooding the mornings of the 21st and 22nd.
