Locally heavy rain occurred across portions of south-central Arizona during the afternoon and evening hours on February 14th, affecting both northern Maricopa and southern Gila Counties. The heavy rain led to episodes of flooding and flash flooding, and resulted in the issuance of various products such as Flash Flood Warnings and Areal Flood warnings. Some of the more significant flooding occurred along Tonto Creek north of Lake Roosevelt, as well as in communities such as New River and Carefree
