Strong surface high pressure dominated over the mid-Atlantic region with a wedge axis down the SE Atlantic seaboard states, with low pressure meandering over the FL Straits. The gradient between these two feature produced enhanced onshore NNE flow with winds 15-25 mph and gusts 25-30 mph along the local coast. Coastal flooding occurred.
