As the snowmelt continued into April, the flooding in late March on the James River and Turtle creek near Redfield expanded throughout Brown and Spink counties. Gauging stations on the James River from Columbia to Stratford to Ashton all went above flood stage at the beginning of April and continued through the end of April.
