On April 22, a brief landspout tornado touched down near Roby. Then on April 23, a cold front interacting with an upper level low pressure system and an unstable airmass resulted in the development of a few supercell thunderstorms. These storms went on to produce some large hail and damaging winds across portions of West Central Texas.
