Several waves of low pressure tracking along a nearly stationary frontal boundary draped along the I-70 corridor brought heavy rainfall to portions of central Illinois on April 30th. Widespread amounts of 2.50 to 3.50 were reported along and west of I-55...with the highest amounts in excess of 5 inches concentrated across portions of eastern Mason and western Tazewell counties.
