Flash Flood — Orange, NC

A series of upper-level disturbances moved northeast across a stationary cold front situated over central NC in a moist and unstable atmosphere. The resulting heavy showers and thunderstorms across the northern Piedmont combined with saturated antecedent conditions produced flash flooding across the region. Multiple roads were closed due to flash flooding, and one road partially collapsed.
