The St. Francis River and lower parts of the Current River rose above flood stage due to several rounds of slow-moving showers and thunderstorms. The heaviest round occurred during the early morning hours on the 2nd, when over an inch fell quickly. A weak stationary front over Missouri caused the showers and storms. The river flooding was minor, consisting of inundated low-lying woods and fields.
