Strong thunderstorms formed along a slow moving frontal boundary along the Coastal Bend. The storms produced locally heavy rainfall ranging from 3 to 5 inches in a couple of hours along the coast. Several cars were stalled out in high water over eastern portions of the city of Corpus Christi.
