Higher than average winter snow pack (180% of average) in the Koyukuk watershed resulted in high water for several villages along the Koyukuk River. The village of Allakaket experienced the most significant impacts. There were two distinct peaks in water levels due to fluctuating warm temperatures well above freezing.
