Showers and thunderstorms intensified in coverage and intensity during the evening of July 17th, continuing into the early morning hours of July 18th. A couple of rounds of heavy rainfall occurred. One was near Kayjay in Knox County, where water entered residences and caused a road closure as 2.5 inches of rain fell. Bell County also experienced road impacts from swiftly flowing flood waters.
