Low pressure moving through central New York triggered numerous thunderstorms across the area. A frontal boundary became stationary over northeast Pennsylvania during the afternoon. Thunderstorms moved very slowly along this boundary with several rounds of torrential rainfall occurring in the Scranton metro area.
