Clusters and short lines of thunderstorms developed during the afternoon hours. A few of these were accompanied by damaging winds and large hail. A second round of storms occurred during the evening hours. A couple of supercells developed over southeast Missouri and produced large hail up to ping pong ball size, along with damaging winds approaching 70 mph.
