Above normal rainfall in June along with heavy rain and snowmelt flooding from April and May kept the James River across Brown and Spink counties flooded throughout June. The highest flood stages at Ashton, Stratford, and Columbia were all major stages which occurred in late April. Mainly agricultural land along with a few roads remained flooded throughout June. The flooding continued into July.
