A stalled front over the region interacting with a very moist and slightly unstable atmosphere resulted in slow moving thunderstorms across central NC. Two swaths of |heavy rainfall of 3 to 5 inches over Cumberland County, northeastern Wake County and southern Franklin County, produced minor flash flooding.
