Severe thunderstorms on the afternoon of June 18th produced severe winds, heavy rainfall and some flash flooding in Franklin County. Radar estimated 2 to 3 inches fell in a 2-hour period west of Rocky Mount. Several roads were closed with water reported to be rushing over Ruritan Road and another road partially washed out.
