During the afternoon hours of Sunday June 16th, a large complex of thunderstorms developed across the higher terrain of the Rampart Range and moved eastward towards Colorado Springs. Heavy rain, leading to flash flooding, and large hail were reported with this complex of storms. Largest hail reports were found just south of the Air Force Academy.
