On the 8th, a deluge in Pine Bluff (Jefferson County) resulted in three to five inches of precipitation in parts of the city (with two inches of this in about 30 minutes). Many roads flooded, and so did a municipal building. This affected local police and fire departments.||It stayed hot during this time frame, with Heat Advisories posted by the National Weather Service. On the 9th, for example, heat indices approached 110 degrees in parts of the south/east.||It stayed hot during this time frame
