Very heavy rainfall caused the Oak Creek near Wakpala to rise quickly above and below flood stage from July 9th to the 10th. The creek rose to above the flood stage of 10 feet in the late evening hours of the 9th to 13.51 feet in the morning hours of the 10th. The creek then fell back to below flood stage in the early evening hours of the 10th.
