A storm complex that developed over the Foothills of the Rockies in eastern Wyoming on the afternoon of the 25th charged southeastward into northwest Missouri during the morning of the 26th. A very unstable airmass over the Ozarks invigorated the storm complex as it approached southwest Missouri during the early afternoon. The storms produced widespread winds over 60 mph over western and central Missouri through the afternoon.
