Scattered thunderstorms developed across portions of La Paz County on September 23rd, beginning in the morning and continuing into the afternoon. Many of the storms produced intense rainfall with peak rain rates in excess of 2 inches per hour. The heavy rain resulted in episodes of late morning flash flooding across the central portion of the county and north of Interstate 10.
