On the afternoon of Friday August 9, 2019 a few scattered thunderstorms moved off the Rampart Range through Fort Carson and stalled right along the El Paso and Pueblo County boarder. The storms produced a radar estimated 3-5 inches over 90 minutes right along the boarder. Traffic was backed up on I-25 for nearly 15 miles trying to enter or leave El Paso County. Flood waters could be seen lapping at the side of the interstate.
