Strong to severe thunderstorms developed in southwestern portions of middle Tennessee during the early evening hours and dropped south into northwest and north central Alabama by mid to late evening. This resulted in numerous reports of wind damage in northwest Alabama/Shoals area, including trees being knocked down and some structural damage.
