Showers and thunderstorms developed along a pre-frontal trough ahead of an approaching cold front. With weak steering flow in place, these storms were able to produce 1-2 inches of rainfall in a short amount of time, leading to isolated reports of flash flooding across portions of Bergen County. The ASOS at Teterboro Airport reported 1.52 inches of rain during this event.
