October started with another round of showers and storms moving across northeast Iowa. Some of these storms produced locally heavy rains across the southeast section of Clayton County. Radar estimates indicated rainfall amounts were generally under two inches, but with the rain falling on already saturated soils, rapid runoff occurred. Rabbit Creek near Edgewood (Clayton County) went out of its banks with flood waters covering Glacier Road.
