A strong Pacific low pressure system along the far southern California coast spread considerable moisture inland and into far southeast California on Thursday December 26th. Strong forcing from the upper low combined with the moisture to produce an episode of flash flooding along the northeast shore of the Salton Sea during the morning hours.
