A strong and wet Pacific low pressure system centered west of Arizona led to widespread moderate to heavy showers along with embedded isolated thunderstorms over portions of far southeast California on November 28th. The evening rain was sufficient to cause episodes of flash flooding which persisted past midnight and into the early morning hours on November 29th.
