Long term James River flooding remained throughout Brown and into Spink county throughout November. Although with releases upstream from the Jamestown Dam in North Dakota beginning in mid October, 3 to 5 foot rises occurred at Stratford, Columbia, and Ashton through the end of November. The river stage at Columbia remained steady or fell slightly by the end of November.
