A strong low pressure system and its associated cold front transported in a plethora of rain on the morning of the 6th and resulted in flooding for parts of southern West Virginia. Through the course of the event, between 2 to 4 inches fell across the southeastern portions of the state. While the rain finally pushed out of the area later that night, the region continued to feel the rippling effect of flooding into the next day.
