A slow-moving frontal boundary, and the approach of a strong upper level storm system, focused widespread showers and thunderstorms across much of eastern Oklahoma on the 10th and 11th. Precipitable water values were near historic values for early January, and resulted in very efficient rain-producing thunderstorms, some of which moved repeatedly across the same areas.
