Excessive rainfall across northern and central Alabama and Mississippi as well as in parts of the Tennessee Valley, resulted in very significant rises along the Alabama River and Tombigbee Rivers in southwest Alabama. This major flooding also resulted in other rivers flooding across the Mobile River Delta, including the Bayou Sara at Saraland.
