An upper low across the Gulf of Maine continually rotated showers and thunderstorms across VT with a focused path across portions of the western slopes of VT's Green Mountains. During the late afternoon of June 30th, thunderstorms back-built in the Hinesburg, Monkton, Starksboro area quickly producing 4+ inches of rainfall within two hours.
