Tropical Storm Cristobal developed in the southern Gulf of Mexico on June 1 before moving north and making landfall in southeast Louisiana on June 7. Effects across the FL peninsula associated with the eastern periphery of the tropical storm included heavy rainfall, gusty winds and a few tornadoes.
