A band of training thunderstorms set up across southern Missouri. Several rounds of storms developed over central Kansas and tracked southeastward into the Ozarks as moisture lifted up and over a warm front over the Red River Valley. Many low water crossings flooded over southern Missouri. Highway C along Flat Creek in eastern Barry County and Highway 97 at the Spring River were closed due to flooding. Rainfall accumulations exceeded two inches.
