A weak shortwave trough drifted south into Southeast Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas during the early morning hours of July 5th, with large scale forcing enhancing shower and thunderstorm development as they built south into more unstable air across East Texas, extreme Southwest Arkansas, and Northwest Louisiana.
