A very unstable airmass was in place across the region as a frontal boundary was stalled across the central portions of the ArkLaMiss region. Severe thunderstorms moved across central and southern portions of the area during the afternoon and evening hours of the 19th. A supercell thunderstorm developed and moved across portions of the Pine Belt and brought a violent tornado across the region, for the second time in as many weeks.
