A couple of supercells and isolated to thunderstorms developed in Starr County in advance of a late season cold front bringing hail to the area. As the cold front passed through, more thunderstorms developed along the front bringing strong winds and heavy rain across the Rio Grande Plains and upper Rio Grande Valley, with hail and flooding.
