Tropical Storm Fay moved northward along the coasts of Delaware and New Jersey on the afternoon and evening of July 10. The storm produced rainfall totals up to 4 to 7 inches in Delaware, with the highest totals occurring in the southeastern part of the state. Some areas also experienced a period of tropical storm force winds, especially near the coast. Overall impacts from wind were limited.
