A complex of strong to severe thunderstorms that developed over the Central Plains during the evening of the 3rd tracked southeastward into the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas during the early and mid-morning hours of the 4th. The storms|produced wind gusts over 60 mph and caused widespread damage to roofs, trees and power lines from Horton to Branson.
