A MCS moving eastward across north Alabama produced an outflow boundary that pushed to the I-20 corridor. The boundary encountered a very unstable air mass with surface based CAPE values near 4000 J/kg in the afternoon. Several clusters of severe thunderstorms developed along the I-20 corridor east of I-65.
